Laser Therapy

Laser TherapyWe offer state of the art laser treatments. Laser therapy is a non-invasive, pain-free alternative to pain medications with zero side effects. Laser therapy takes advantage of your body’s natural ability to heal itself. Lasers work by aiming specific wavelengths of light at the problem area, stimulating the cells to repair themselves.

Some light wavelengths decrease inflammation while others provide an analgesic effect. Our laser is unique in that it combines two different wavelengths to accomplish both simultaneously. There are no other chiropractic or physician offices utilizing this technology within 150 miles of our office.

MLS Laser Therapy is completely safe and very well-researched. The FDA has approved the use of MLS Laser Therapy for “temporary relief of muscle and joint pain and stiffness, arthritis pain, or muscle spasm [via] the temporary increase in local blood circulation and/or promoting relaxation of muscle [tissue].”

What to expect during treatment

A treatment series begins with a chiropractic evaluation. Your chiropractor will decide if laser therapy is right for you, or if it would benefit you to get both chiropractic and laser treatments. Laser treatments are performed in a set of six or ten treatments as recommended by your doctor. The treatments themselves are pain-free and take about 8 – 12 minutes.

Results

Relief is gradual, with each treatment building on the previous ones. Most people experience positive results in one to three treatments. The remaining treatments (either six or ten, based on your doctor’s recommendation) help consolidate the progress and ensure healthy cellular growth to keep pain away.
